October 28, 2005: It's been a long time since I updated this. It's been a busy month and a half. Total contributions total $160, thanks to one extremely generous $100 donor, and two incredibly compassionate $30 donors.

Amazon revenue so far is just shy of $30. That's cool.

Google fucked me over. That's not cool. Still thinking about how to deal with that.

Sold an ad on the front page for several hundred. Check it out.

Some local work came in, which was perfectly timed.

And for the longer term, I landed a tech-book deal, actually writing one this time. This is good because this gives me a steady income for the next several months as I get settled in and find local work up there as well. Yes, I'm actually moving now, too. That's the best news.

Lastly, I will admit that four and a half months and tens of thousands of page views later, I'm a little disappointed I didn't even manage any sympathy emails, much less donations, from anyone I don't know. I figured, here's a chance for folks to help out a nice guy with a genuine need, rather than apying off credit card debt, buying someone new breast implants, etc. The only email I received was from a guy in LA in a vaguely similar situation. Sorry, guy, if I had good advice to give, I woudn't be here. So, I'll venture into the world of the possibly offensive and say that horny guys will give money to any woman for almost anything, because in the back of their pea-brains they think they'll get somewhere. If only I'd been born with a two X chromosomes instead of one. I don't blame any woman on earth who uses her looks, assests, or general femininity to get ahead. Go for it girls. If we men are that stupid, we deserve it. ;)
